1) This very fine filter cartridge has a high filtration capacity and can therefore clog much earlier than the standard cartridge NFP Premium 9 with 0.45µm, if the water is heavily polluted.

Due to the extreme density of the filter cartridge of 0.35 micron, we do not recommend using it in a domestic water supply below 3.5 bar, as the flow rate per minute can no longer be guaranteed.

Features of the Carbonit Superior water filter cartridge
CARBONIT Monoblock® - baked block filter manufactured in a sintering process, internationally patented, multiple award-winning and scientifically recognised. (Not to be confused with loose fill granular carbon or extruded blocks). This filter cartridge fits e.g. Carbonit SanUNO, DUO and VARIO . Standardised 9 3/4" Carbonit monoblock with a filter fineness of 0.35 µm absolute. Flat seal (SOE) with O-ring. High protection against bacteria, heavy metals, pesticides, polar pesticides and pharmaceutical residues. This block filter combines the well-known adsorptive powers of sintered activated carbon (e.g. pesticides) with mechanical filtration (e.g. bacteria). Activated carbon has a large surface area, which is used as an adsorbent in chemistry, medicine and water and wastewater treatment, among others. It primarily removes unwanted colour, taste and odour substances from gases, vapours and liquids. As a sintered activated carbon block filter based on internationally patented Carbonit technology, incomparable filtration results are scientifically verified.

Filter change:

In case of very high drinking water loads, it can happen that the pores of the filter cartridge, clog before the recommended period of use of 6 months. An early change is not a defect of the filter used, but an indication of increased occurrence of fine particles in the unfiltered water. The filter cartridge must be changed after 6 months at the latest (according to DIN 1988). In principle, 10,000 litres of water may be filtered within the 6 months. However, an earlier change may be necessary if the water flow is noticeably reduced.

With each filter change, the flat seals of the cartridges are changed (always included in the package of replacement cartridges). This ensures perfect sealing and functionality. Any biofilm contamination is also removed.
