Domestic water filters are used for the treatment of drinking water from the public water supply network. It is important to reduce the water hardness of any possible contamination from the domestic water supply network.
e.g;
The pre-filter prevents larger particles, such as grains of sand, from entering the filter.
Ion exchangers (white beads) inside the filter filter e.g. substances dissolved in water such as lime and lead from drinking water by binding calcium or lead ions and exchanging them for hydrogen ions.
Activated carbon (black granules) is highly porous and therefore has a very large surface area. In this structure, chlorine, as well as odour and taste disturbing organic substances are filtered out and bound.
The fine-mesh turbidity filter prevents clouding of the filtered water by finest activated carbon particles.

The result is up to 180 litres of filter-fresh water of natural taste, with reduced lime and chlorine content and reduced contamination of lead, cadmium, zinc, copper etc., which can be released from the domestic water supply.
